André (51) and his father Pierre (71) race as duo Paulssen & Son, the national and international races of long distance. Andre has been racing pigeons for almost 40 years and in all those years the duo has benn very successful. At Dax 1986 they won the 1st National against 12.186 p. and also the 6st National St. Vincent against 15.500 p.
Over the years Paulssen & Son participated mostly in the long distance races 800 – 1100 km (Bergerac, Narbonne, Marseille, St. Vincent, Marseille and Perpignan). The most important race every year is the Queens-race of Barcelona.
The international races will be arranged by the Belgian organizations with participation from Belgium, France, The Netherlands, Luxemburg and Germany.
We also participate with a few birds in the day races from 400 – 500 km, like Chateauroux, La Souterraine, Issoudun and Argenton.
For the international races we have pigeons with the mainstream Albert Simons & Son (van der Wegen), Gijs Dolleweerd, Nouwen – Paesen, H. Wijnands & Son and Roger Florizoone. The day racers come from Heremans, Prange (Koopman) and Houben Itegem by Wil Brouwers (EPC).
In 1986 we won 1st National Dax 12.186 p. and 6st National St. Vincent 15.500 p.
In 2012 there was another great succes with “Quinn”. He won 1st International Ace Pigeon La Colombe Joyeuse over 3 international races. Furthermore in the last 10-years we have won a lot of (inter)national championships such as:
